Why so many finds live on Weidian
Weidian, which roughly means "micro shop", lets small independent sellers open a store in minutes and sell through mobile apps and social media. That low barrier attracts exactly the kind of sellers spreadsheet buyers look for: small workshops and independent shops offering niche items, often with frequent new releases. As a result, a large share of rows in any spreadsheet point to Weidian.
The catch is that Weidian is built for buyers in China. Foreign cards and international shipping aren't part of the normal flow, which is why buyers in Spain, France, the US and elsewhere use an agent such as Usfans to buy, check and ship Weidian items.
Below: the ordering steps, how to judge a small seller, sizing, QC and what to do when a listing vanishes.
Weidian is where many finds are sold; an agent is how you reach them.
How a Weidian order works through Usfans
- Copy the Weidian link, which looks like
weidian.com/item.html?itemID=…. - Paste it into the search box on usfans.com and open the product.
- Choose size and colour using the seller's chart in centimetres.
- Pay for the item; Usfans buys it from the seller.
- Check the 3 to 5 free QC photos when it reaches the warehouse.
- Ship it with your other items, on a line with taxes included.
If your spreadsheet row is an agent link rather than a Weidian link, the link helper rebuilds the Weidian address first.
Paste the Weidian link into Usfans; the rest is a normal agent order.
Judging a small Weidian seller
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Shop age and range | Established shops with consistent products are safer |
| Recent warehouse photos from other buyers | Show how items actually arrive |
| Size chart in centimetres | Weidian sizes often run small |
| Dispatch time | Slow sellers delay your whole parcel |
| Listing photos vs real photos | Some sellers use catalogue images |
With small sellers, the seller matters as much as the item.
Re-listed and vanishing items
Weidian sellers frequently re-list items under new numbers, run limited batches or close and reopen shops. That's why Weidian rows in spreadsheets break more often than Taobao rows. If a link stops working, open the seller's shop and look for the same item; it often reappears with a new item ID. If the shop has gone, search for the item's name or check whether another seller offers it.
A dead Weidian link often means a re-listing, not a lost item.
Sizing on Weidian
Weidian sellers use Chinese sizing, which usually runs smaller than European or US sizes. Ignore the letter on the label and compare the chart's measurements in centimetres with a garment you own. For shoes, use foot length in millimetres; our Usfans shoes guide explains how. If the chart is missing, ask the seller through an order note before Usfans buys.
Centimetres, not letters, decide Weidian sizes.
QC photos matter more with small sellers
Quality can vary more between batches from small sellers than from large brands. Usfans' 3 to 5 free photos per item are your chance to catch a wrong size, a defect or a colour that differs from the listing. Check them the day they arrive, and ask for a specific angle if something is unclear. Spanish readers will find a checklist in QC en Usfans.
Check every Weidian item's photos the day they arrive.
Taxes on Weidian orders
Weidian items follow your country's import rules once shipped. In the EU, VAT applies from the first euro and a €3 duty for each item category applies to IOSS parcels up to €150; US parcels pay duties since the 2025 change. Pick a line that collects taxes upfront to avoid fees at the door.
Tax-inclusive lines keep Weidian orders predictable and free of door charges.
Customs and branded goods
Some Weidian shops sell items that copy registered brands. Customs in the EU, UK, US and elsewhere can seize such goods, and the money for a seized parcel is usually lost. Know what you're ordering and the rules where you live.
Customs rules apply to the item, whichever platform it came from.
Spanish and French buyers
Weidian finds are shared widely in Spanish and French communities. Spanish readers can learn the ordering steps in cómo comprar en Usfans and photo checks in QC en Usfans; French readers can start with Usfans, c'est quoi ?
The same Weidian route is explained in Spanish and French.
Combining Weidian sellers
One advantage of buying Weidian items through an agent is consolidation: items from five different Weidian shops arrive at the same Usfans warehouse and ship in one parcel. Each seller charges its own domestic delivery to the warehouse, but you pay international shipping only once, which usually makes multi-seller hauls far cheaper than separate parcels.
Several Weidian sellers can share one Usfans parcel.
Where to go next
For the full ordering process, see the Usfans spreadsheet homepage; for wholesale buying, see 1688; and for photo albums that link to Weidian shops, see Yupoo.
Weidian, 1688 and Yupoo all lead back to the same kind of agent order.
FAQ
What is Weidian?
A Chinese platform for small independent sellers, who run shops mainly through mobile apps and social media. Many spreadsheet finds come from Weidian shops.
Can I buy on Weidian directly from Europe or the US?
Not easily. Weidian is built for the Chinese market, so most foreign buyers use an agent such as Usfans.
How do I open a Weidian link in Usfans?
Paste the Weidian item link into the search box on usfans.com. If you have an agent link, the link helper extracts the Weidian address first.
Why do Weidian items disappear from spreadsheets?
Small sellers often re-list items under new numbers or close shops. Search the seller's shop if a link stops working.
Is Weidian safe through an agent?
The agent pays the seller and shows you photos before shipping, which reduces risk. Check the seller and your QC photos carefully.
